Women are grossly under-represented among the ranks of paid mediators and arbitrators statewide, and especially so in the Third Judicial District. Why?  A distinguished panel of former judges and mediators will explore that question, reveal how the selection process really works and provide insight from experienced mediators/arbitrators on how to break-in, fit-in and practice as a neutral.  This Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program will be presented by the Third Judicial District Gender Fairness Committee.

The panel will include NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation) neutral, Hon. Karla Moskowitz, former Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, First Department, Hon. Victoria A. Graffeo, former judge of the New York Court of Appeals, Hon. Mae A. D'Agostino, Northern District Judge and James E. Hacker, managing partner at E. Stewart Jones Hacker Murphy. Hon. Rachel Kretser (Ret.), adjunct faculty member, Albany Law School will moderate.

Registration will be coordinated by the Albany County Bar Association.
