NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation) was a proud sponsor of the Nassau County Bar Association's (NCBA) “BBQ at the Bar” held on Thursday, September 6th at the NCBA headquarters in Mineola, New York.  The well-attended networking event included more than 200 attorneys, judges and other legal professionals from across Nassau County, Long Island, including NAM neutral, the Honorable Peter B. Skelos . The event also celebrated the introduction of the new NCBA Executive Director, Liz Post, who will begin her leadership role October 1st.

Founded in 1899, the Nassau County Bar Association is a professional membership association for attorneys. It is the leading source for legal information and services for the legal profession and the local community in Nassau County, New York. NCBA enjoys a membership of private and public sector attorneys, judges, legal educators and law students.

Hon. Peter B. Skelos is a former Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, 2nd Department. He is well-versed in the law and is a highly regarded mediator and arbitrator for NAM. He has arbitrated and mediated cases that include construction, commercial, professional liability, insurance coverage, matrimonial, medical malpractice and personal injury matters.  In 2017, for the second year in a row, Judge Skelos was voted a Top Ten Mediator by The New York Law Journal Annual Reader Rankings Survey and for the second straight year was named a National Law Journal Alternative Dispute Resolution Champion, as part of  a select group of only 46 nationwide (2018, 2017).
