NAM General Counsel and Neutrals Recognized as Top Lawyers of Long Island

About the winners:

Richard P. Byrne, Esq. joined NAM's panel of neutrals in 2014. Mr. Byrne mediates and arbitrates across a wide range of practice areas, including complex commercial matters, insurance/reinsurance/risk allocation, employment, and construction. He has been recognized on a national level as a top mediator by the National Law Journal for nine years in a row.

Jacqueline Silvey, Esq. is NAM's General Counsel and Vice President of its Commercial Division. She has been a member of NAM's executive team for the past 16 years, and is involved in various management operations of the company including panel development, oversight and implementation of commercial and employment dispute resolution initiatives, the creation and implementation of various rules of procedure, and the general business affairs of the company.

Hon. Peter B. Skelos (Ret.) joined NAM's panel of neutrals in 2015. Judge Skelos mediates and arbitrates complex commercial, construction, employment, insurance, personal injury, and medical malpractice matters. He is a former member of the New York State Judiciary and served as an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department.

Hon. Ira B. Warshawksy (Ret.) joined NAM's panel of neutrals in 2013. Judge Warshawsky mediates and arbitrates disputes in a number of areas, including complex commercial matters, corporate disputes, employment, construction, and e-Discovery. He is a former Justice of the New York Supreme Court, Nassau County, Commercial Division.

The 4th Annual Herald Top Lawyers Awards Gala will be held on Wednesday, May 17th and will showcase Long Island's top legal professionals.
