MARC LEISHMAN WINS THE ARNOLD PALMER INVITATIONAL

NAM is proud to announce that PGA golfer Marc Leishman won the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a one shot victory at Bay Hill in Orlando, Florida this past Sunday. NAM is a corporate sponsor of Mr. Leishman and the NAM logo is displayed on the right side of the shirt he wears at all events he plays during the 2016-17 PGA Tour.

With Rory McIlroy, Kevin Kisner and Charley Hoffman all tied at the top of the leaderboard late in the final round, it was Leishman's 51-foot eagle putt at the par 5, 16th hole that was the turning point of the tournament. That shot, along with three key par putts in the last 4 holes, solidified Mr. Leishman's lead and his second PGA career victory. His final totals were a three-under-par 69 final round and an overall finish of 11-under 277. With his win at Bay Hill, Mr. Leishman secured a berth at The Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia in April.

Two years ago, Mr. Leishman withdrew from the 2015 Masters when he learned his wife Audrey had suffered from acute respiratory distress syndrome. He suspended his schedule and took time off to look after his wife and two sons. She has since recovered after which Mr. Leishman resumed his career on the PGA tour. Audrey and Marc are now expecting their third child.

Roy Israel, President and CEO of NAM stated, “Wow! What a finish and a tremendous come from behind victory for Marc – one that I'm sure Arnold Palmer would have been proud of. Marc is a great competitor and I admire him for his professionalism and for his unquestioned integrity which is a hallmark of our business. We congratulate Marc, and wish him much luck and success at The Masters next month.”
