Kenneth J. Balkan, Esq. Joins NAM's New York Metro Panel

NAM is pleased to announce the addition of Kenneth J. Balkan, Esq. to its New York Metro panel of Arbitrators and Mediators.

Mr. Balkan is an ardent advocate for ADR and has mediated issues in a wide variety of subject areas including insurance coverage and disputes, complex business partnerships, multi-party tort litigation, legal fee disputes and professional liability lawsuits. He serves on the Mediation Panel in the United States District Courts for both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and also is regularly appointed as a sole or lead arbitrator on arbitration panels for the 10th Judicial District of Nassau County. He is known to be thorough, well-prepared, extremely fair and unbiased, and masterful at bringing parties together with a view towards resolution.

As a commercial litigator, Mr. Balkan has handled complex claims and lawsuits throughout the United States, which gives him an added dimension of depth in his role as an arbitrator and mediator. His litigation experience includes commercial disputes, partnership disputes, construction accidents, corporate management agreements, disability and life insurance claims, franchise acquisition, legal fee disputes, licensing issues, professional liability and disciplinary proceedings, property damage, real estate and foreclosure issues, receivership claims, subrogation, surety bond indemnification and wrongful termination of employment.
