Stein, Esq. Medical Malpractice Specialist, to its New York metro panel of arbitrators and mediators.
Ms. Stein is an experienced litigator who has been engaged in the practice of law for more than 30 years, with a focus on medical malpractice litigation, hospital claims management and judicial mediation. She has handled all aspects of medical malpractice defense litigation and has successfully negotiated and settled hundreds of medical malpractice cases. Throughout her stellar career, she has served as a Medical Malpractice Mediator for the New York State Supreme Court, a Claims Attorney for FOJP Service Corporation and a Senior Corporate Claims Counsel for the New York City Health and Hospitals (HHC), the largest public health care system in the nation.
In her role at HHC, she was responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the organization's entire corporate medical malpractice portfolio. She effectively developed and implemented the creation of the company's in-house Medical Litigation Unit as well as the expansion of its panel of outside firms to defend medical malpractice matters.
Ms. Stein is an avid supporter of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and can draw upon her many years of experience when mediating and arbitrating medical malpractice matters in the private ADR forum. She has garnered a reputation for fair valuation of cases and is dedicated in her effort to assist parties in moving cases toward resolution to the benefit of everyone involved.
