Mr. Sacks is a seasoned arbitrator and mediator and concentrates his legal practice primarily on commercial/maritime litigation matters which include marine and insurance liability and coverage disputes, marine and land-based construction defect claims, contractor liens, recoveries and subrogation, insurance coverage litigation, maritime and non-marine personal injury matters, U.S. Longshore and Harbor insurance coverage, Jones Act, charter parties and vessel mechanical failures.

Mr. Sacks began his career in insurance defense, coverage analysis and litigation in Louisiana. He served as General Counsel for a New Orleans based insurance consulting firm, assisting clients with coverage specifications, captive formation and claims and loss mitigation. He was also instrumental in passing the Louisiana Oilfield Anti-Indemnity Act and represented the London market in commercial general liability (CGL); marine and contractual liability claims and Brown and Blue-Water Marine.

He has been admitted to and practiced successfully in the United States Supreme Court on certiorari and is admitted in the State and Federal Courts of New York, Texas and Oklahoma. He is also a New York County Supreme Court mediator and FINRA arbitrator and has participated in numerous arbitrations across a variety of practice areas.
