New York, NY (May 29, 2019) – NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation), one of the nation's leading providers of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services, is proud to support the Suffolk County Bar Association's (SCBA) 111th Annual Installation Dinner. The event will be held on Friday, June 7th at Cold Spring Country Club, East Gate Drive, Huntington, NY beginning at 6 p.m.
This year's event will present several awards to numerous well deserved Suffolk County citizens: John L. Juliano will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, the 2018 Judicial Screening Committee Members will receive the Directors Award and the cast of “Another Night”, an award winning public service project that addressed the increasingly serious epidemic of opioid and heroin addiction facing young people today, will receive the Presidents' Award. Additionally, Lynn Poster-Zimmerman will be installed as the newly appointed President.
For over a century, the SCBA organization and the legal profession it represents has assisted the community through charitable services, pro bono representation, scholarship programs and legal education. The organization recognizes its mission: “The purposes and objects for which the Association is established shall be cultivating the science of jurisprudence, promoting reforms in the law, facilitating the administration of justice, elevating the standard of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession and cherishing the spirit of brotherhood among the members thereof.”
NAM neutrals, Michael Emerson, Esq. and Hon. Peter B. Skelos will be attending the event on behalf of the firm.
